He's not talked of very much, but PRINCE over the last 30 years was just as big as
Stevie, Marvin,James, Micheal or anyone else. His fusion of R&B, Rock and Roll, and musicianship
is unmatched by anyone and Purple Rain was Beatlesesque when in dropped.Yall, should have been there.

The thing I remember about Purple rain is I remember wanting to go see the movie Purple Rain in the theaters when it came out. So much hype was around Prince back then. My big sister pleaded with my mother to go to that, she was in 9th grade at the time, and she couldn't even go, so there was no way in hell my Mom would let me go to it either. I have since seen parts of it, it doesn't look like it's a very strong movie in terms of a plot LOL.

But yeah, that album is undeniable.

Funny story, excuse the excursion, but we're on the subject of Prince, so bear with me...

I used to put up Satellite dishes for DirecTV many years ago and I worked in Minneapolis a lot. Well one day, one of my friends and coworkers (at the time) had to run some lines for a job at Prince's music studio in the Twin cities. I was at a boring job next door to him. I remember that day he checked in and he said over the Nextel phone that it was an absolute amazing studio. Anyways, he was doing his job and he noticed he was out of electrical tape. Prince wasn't there, but the guy who let him in was, so he asked him if he could borrow some electrical tape. After digging through a few miscellaneous junk drawers, the guy comes back with purple electrical tape. "All we got around here is purple electrical tape, will that work?" dude says. My buddy Mike laughed and said "Yeah, that'll work, and it'll match the color scheme around here even better."

I donno why, but I find it humorous that even Prince's electrical tape was purple.((giggle)) Is his toilet paper purple too? Where does it end?
