I'll be honest, I woulda chose a lot of what you guys mentioned.

Body Count, on point. War Pigs, of course, Get up,Stand up - Bob Marley, perfect example. Fuck the Police, probably one of the most incendiary Hip Hop songs ever at the time that it dropped. Man, the LA Riots were on the verge when that came out.
Public Enemy absolutely, that was what they did, they have been fighting the man since day 1. Bob Dylan for sure.

Rage Against the Machine - People of the Sun. (Like P.E.(Rage and PE Toured together oddly enough) Rage is all about uprising, just read between the lines of their name)

Bob Dylan - Masters of War (Just like War Pigs by Black Sabbath only acoustic folk\protest rock)

Marvin Gaye - You're the Man (Shoulda been the theme song for Obama's second inauguration)

Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction (Not nearly as environmental as you might think by the name, very dark, very political)

But honestly I wanna be even more picky than what I mentioned so far, strike the Rage song. Even though it qualifies, it's not the best they did so it's not the best song example. I should be more picky and choose best of the best in the theme of uprising\grass roots rebellion and you guys are doing way better then what I just dropped. I'll drop more I gotta think about the best examples a bit more.

It is almost virtually impossible to cover protest songs completely as to there are thousands of them in existence.Take a second for yourself,let your mind drift back to all the history that you learned back in the day.It's the history of the prospective countries that leads you to the protest songs.If something bad was happening,there probably was a protest song made about the times.United States,Ireland and Brasil seem to have the most.
