Just out of curiosity rchecka, mainly just because I've heard how much you hate that vinyl subreddit several times now lol, are you posting these up on there?

The same reason I go there is the same reason I visit all the forums I visit. Amongst the kaos and stuff I genuinely can't relate to, there is order, there is real information there. Plus, I met you at another forum, I met Uptownkid and Beatmaster, GMM and JB and almost everyone here at other forums. It goes without saying I want to bring the good ones here for the good of the co-op.

Look at the number of hits on those IMGUR posts that aren't even days old. That is insanity numbers.

Check this: I posted all of these on photobucket over the years here and other places, I compiled them for a "Dope Hip Hop Worth Seeking Thread" and I got well over 4000 views in 3 days. Keep in mind, I am a webmaster for a sleepy forum, I hope you'd understand why I'm taking notes and why I'm attempting to actively recruit the "diamonds in the rough" who are passionate enough to ask questions and bring up topics.

Not to mention, kids records are the ULTIMATE THROW BACK imagery and everyone who see's those pics get's the warm fuzzys, and hopefully gets something positive out of the experience of just reminiscing like that.

Anywayz...

You should add on V, didn't you rock records as a kid?

Nah I understand where you're coming from and respect the recruitment hustle. My thing is—and this is obviously clear to you as well—that place is what it is. I'm on Reddit a good amount, as much as almost any other site I'd visit, but almost never go in that subreddit specifically because after browsing for about an hour I dipped quick-fast out of a sheer lack of interest. I know if I ever contributed there—which is obviously an investment of some sort—it would probably be very frustrating. In any case, again, I understand trying to bring folks here.

Re: kids records: truthfully I really grew up with cassettes more than records and the records we did have in the house, belonging to my older brother, were not kids records lol. I don't think I have any of those cassettes either but I do wonder if there might be a stash of them back at my mom's spot.

As a digger I haven't gotten very into kids stuff though I know, like your collection shows, that there are plenty of gems out there. I've truthfully never gone really deep digging for breaks either (in general and with some very obvious and notable exceptions) simply 'cause I'm not a DJ aside from messing around with friend's or my brother's decks. It's one thing for me to have a great album with notable breaks on it but I can't really justify too many records of filler/garbage for a break I'll probably never use (which is not what I'm saying the case is with these kids records, I know some of those are down-right funky and nice through and through). Same goes for 12" singles of any genre, obviously can't say no to certain things and all the exclusive content but I'll pass on that for the most part simply because it's not practical for me.

Relevant link: Sesame Street Digger. These pictures are actually taken at a record shop I frequent and in that first photo you can see a building I worked on for more than a year recently (ended up doing a short lunch and hitting the new arrivals section there way too often lol).

@JB, NICE collection man. That original C is for cookies looks like it's in great shape! And you already know I gotta have that poster, some day I'll find it, I have faith. (feel the guilt trip, FEEL IT!)
Whats up with those Japanese ones, good bizarre stuff?

Great link Vamos, thoroughly enjoyed that.

Is it just me or does this guy look a little bit like bert, at least with the "Bert Brow"

Yo that dude has the mother load of Sesame Street joints .
@ Rchecka , those are the dialogue and music from Anime movies . It's like the movie with no visual only sound . Great for samples and sound bytes . They are usually pretty expensive ( around $50 - $100 each ) , but I copped them off a cat from Greece for like $40 ( I think )for the 3 .
