^^ Two dope albums. The Kenny Cox is the first for DJ Amir's/Strata's new "reissue" label. Production quality on the whole thing is top-knotch.
Listening to the Lewis Parker instrumentals right now and I'm glad I grabbed this in time, really really dope drums and his sampling is crisp as shit (some killer horns on here). Recommended.

^^Don't sleep on that Kenny Cox record either, I'm trying to get into contact with DJ Amir for an interview at the moment. In either case, it seems like it sold out in a couple places, I added a discogs entry for the record last night and there's already someone trying to sell it for almost $50 which is nonsense but probably will be normal in a couple months.

More Chopped Herring madness, two really nice records here:

I resize all my pics at 600 pixels. You can do that with the Photobucket editor. (at their site click edit, resize, and save as copy always works for me. It's kind of a pain I knowworried.)I believe 700 pix is the max before the sides cut off.

Regardless your pics are always money, thanks for sharing em, much appreciated. thumbs up

So you like that Red Herring, huh? ((giggle))

Chopped Herring is always picking up some dope underground artists, now it's Q & Curt Cazal I see. I got a few of their singles.

My scores for the week.

Country Funk (Various Artists) 2lp Wouldn't really call most of this album country , more southern rock , but definitely FUNKY !!!

Zelia Barbosa - Brazil : Songs Of Protest lp . I'm really enjoying this record . She conveys her emotion so well that even though I cant understand most of what she is saying , I'm pretty sure I feel it .

Thom Janusz - Ronn Forella...Moves This album is jazzy , funky ,and full of breaks !! Don't let the cover art fool you , this album is dope !!

Quakers - Quakers lp Can't really say anything about this album that hasn't been said on here already ( I think I was the last one to cop this ) . But , nonetheless , I like it..
My wife picked me up a few surprises.

Lee Fields - Let's Talk It Over deluxe edition 2lp with download No soul revival here , this is the real thing . Late 70s recording that sounds more late 60s early 70s . A little different than what I'm used to from Lee Fields ,but still a great soul / funk album ..

David Newman -Bigger And Better lp This is a prime example of soulful jazz . A perfect blend of the two genres .

Shirley And Lee - Let The Good Times Roll lp Mid 50s . A little soul , a little rock , a little blues , a little doo wop ,a lot of good music . This particular copy is in rough shape , but I can't stop listening to it . Loud pops , crackles , skips and all..
