Already outside my price range. I'll stick with my cheap 2-fer CD copy, or a 70s/80s reissue if I ever come across it in the wild.

$1k's way too much for me, too - if I thought I could get it in the low 100's I might seriously think about it. But only because this was the first records that I heard that introduced me to music outside of the lowest common denominator, mainstream FM music. When I was in 5th grade our ex-hippy teacher played this for us and it stuck with me. I won't claim it blew me away at the time - but it was clearly different from what "everyone" liked and listened to, and there was something compelling about it. I've got the Chess box of Howlin' Wolf, so I've got plenty of his music, but I still covet an OG copy of the Rockin' Chair album.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. There are some records that have a sentimental/personal vibe to them, that are just worth buying, even if they are a bit more expensive than a regular purchase. I think the most I've ever spent on anything has been around $100, and even that is rare these days. If I had the money to spend at the right time and saw a few particular records for sale, I'd definitely buy them though.

Anyone have this reissue from the 80s?

Also, it looks like there are a bunch of dodgy public domain pressings of this album in recent years. Too bad it hasn't gotten a really high quality, respectable reissue.
