Nice, found this Anthology-Of-Reggae-Collectors-Series on Discogs.

^Very cool. A local store nearby has that Dobby Dobson LP but it was scratched to shit. I was definitely disappointed when I pulled it out of the jacket to check it out. Had a similar experience with the Max Romeo LP in that series a year or two ago in another state.

Various Artists - Clement "Coxsone" Dodd - Musical Fever 1967-1968 2xLP

Great late 80s Trojan comp. of Coxsone produced Rocksteady tracks. I really enjoy this stuff even if it is sorta "lightweight" in terms of content compared to 70s roots reggae or whatever. Even the cover tracks here are pretty good.

Discogs Page

Discogs prices seem a bit high on this one, paid quite a bit less for my copy.

Delroy Wilson - Best of Delroy Wilson LP (Liberty) 1978

^Since LionsMouth and I were talking about these Anthology Series Comps, I figured I'd dust this off and play it tonight. I only have two of those, the Heptones one and this one. Both are great, but this one really sticks with me the most. Coincidentally also produced by Clement Dodd.

I'm not a huge "Best of" digger but as a starter kit for otherwise unknown artists I can't deny that sometimes the record companies are perfectly capable of making the best possible compilation to start with when you're a newb or to fall back on when you aren't and you want the quick and filling meat and potatoes listening.
