Magic in Threes is so good. I have their first album, second (which was a huge growth for them I thought) and a few 7s. JB how is this in comparison to their last album?by rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
QuoteLionsMouth ^I wish someone would archive a lot of the old BBC Essential Mixes. I know they are floating around online, but proper legit versions of some of those would be great. Have you ever heard the Stacey Pullen one? Nope I haven't heard that but I have a few Essential Mixes on CD that I should bust out now that you mention it. You are more forgiving than a lot of people would be. You gotta wonder if it was warped because of the way they shipped it to someone else like you and had it returned since it was warped.by rchecka - General Discussion

Last night... Various - PunkNews.org My Org Mixtape (Cassette) Narmer Records 2015 ^Last night the mail man dropped off my first ever punk mixtape and hot damn it's hot! It's configured just like a Hip Hop mixtape, complete with the skits and the shot outs, and the answering machine messages from various who's who artists of punk music. Complete with Hip Hop instrumeby rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
That is a good feeling when stores take your advice, as they should. I asked them years ago to put that back to top button on their mobile template and on their last update I was happy to see they did that improvement. Next time you are browsing on your phone you'll see it as you scroll down in the lower right. I know I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at DGA since I startedby rchecka - General Discussion
QuoteLionsMouth This almost reminds you of the days when Metallica were a good band making good music... Yeah, there was a time. Metal can be a tricky thing to do as you get older IMO, it's more of a young man's sport. But yes, back at that show they had the fire in their gut.by rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop

Metallica, after being told to perform "no offensive songs" went all punk rock on MTV Music Awards Europe, doing 'Last Caress' and 'So What' and guess what... It rocked. ^November 14, 1996by rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop

QuoteLionsmouth Of course I take all the "evil" and "satanic" imagery with a grain of salt. You've got to have a sense of humor to enjoy this king of thing IMHO. Spoken like a true Satanist.by rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
Worked out pretty good for me, I got JB's refuse! Thanks JB! I get it. When you buy a brand new sealed record you expect it to arrive in perfect condition. Thing is, it's really not hard to package records for mail. Box the thing up tight so it cant move, put stiffeners above and below, make sure the box has plenty of padding on the corners (Dusty Groove's boxes are a goodby rchecka - General Discussion

Hey thanks for the good words man glad you enjoyed the interview! And welcome aboard! Ladies and gents this is analog oddity and he knows a thing or two about a thing or two. QuoteLionsMouth ^That name is so corny I would've thought they were a joke band. I'll have to check this out a bit later. ^I half agree about the name. While it's corny that's partially the appeal of it. It's so bad it's good. DoomHawk - DoomHawk LP (Rumbletown Records) Unknown Year ^Very little is known about this epic band who dropped one album. I found this album locally and jumped on it based on the hand silk screened cover of a different old album painted over and the irresistible title. I've been on a tape kick lately... You know what I mean by kick, a thing, a mini binge, relentlessly focused on, etc. Anyways, I gotta spread a little bit of what I've learned along the way about some of the more noteworthy ones to the tape heads lurking in the forum. ^Well they asked for 99, another guy is asking for twice that and there's 3 for sale and no sales history at discogs. Not trying to squash your sales hope but the hype isn't there with this album and too often people overprice at Discogs and it sits there for years while no one bites.by rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
I took a chance and shared this with Austin Boogie Crew Records. and they dropped a nice review and started promoting it on their Instagram Feed! I must say, I'm pretty happy about this. My final review on this album after the second listen: I highly dislike this album. I am a pretty huge De La Fan, I rank them as my all time favorite HH group, so there was no way I was gonna miss out on this LP when it dropped. That said I had to listen to it 2 times just to make sure my initial first impression wasn't unwarranted, that it was a pile of fluff surrounded by a few good sonby rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
