Now that's a proper list. I remember you mentioning that yoby GMM - General Discussion
Heard this earlier today, sad news R.I.P.by GMM - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
Since the summer is close to over and that's when people usually travel I recently realized that I really haven't travelled a lot in my life. When I was a kid my dream was to visit every country on this planet...but right now I'd settle just having a face to face comversation with a person from every country..Ha! What a pathetic version of a childhood dream. So anyway, my questionby GMM - General Discussion

I'm here quite often but just like DJBoomBap, I'm a bit quiet...mostly because of little time and lazyness.by GMM - General Discussion
Quoterchecka ^Nice I been bumping that No Sellout for a while too, that last track with Kool Kieth is something else, love that track! I love Count Coolout too, that comp is a nice collection of his 12"s. Although it's gotta be a bootleg or something, at least mine does. Also agree that Fix and Mo Fish are good ones. "Bulletproof wallets", I never heard that album. ^by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Quoteuptownkid Both are definitely dope albums. Ghost hasn't dropped a bad album at all, IMO. Not sure if you check his last album 'Apollo Kids'...but if not - cop that joint. Very nice. Heard nothing but good things about it and listened to one or two songs off it and it went straight to my "get a.s.a.p."-list. Not a fan of "Bulletproof wallets" which wasby GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Had to bump this thread 'cause I recently copped the "My dark..."-album and I have to take back some of the things I said. It is a really great album "So appaled", "Monster", "Runaway", "All of the lights" and "Devil in a new dress" all bangers! Still not what I consider epic though...by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
For the last couple of days I've been playing two Re-discovered albums over and over. Can't believe I forgot how good they were in the first place: Scarface - The Fix Ghostface - More Fishby GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Got his today Not that great of an album but interesting collaboration. Hip Hops first official collabo with a reggae artist? Kind of cool to hear a whole other version of "How me gonna make a black nation rise".by GMM - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
PRT - Shakyila (part 1)by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Being as I am not really a mixtape fan, I had expectations about it being pretty good but nothing special. But I was wrong...it is special! They make it sound almost like a live party with dj's mixing and mc's just passing the mic around. Great selection with some pure classics and some more low profile cuts, great and effortless mixing and each side becomes like an entity in itself. Juby GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Today it's two stone cold classic albums in "Here come the lords" & "One for all".by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
The whole first album plus most of Just Ice's album are both top notch. Cold gettin dumb part II and the already mentioned back to burn, two more bangers and we can't forget King of the beats. He was the man in 85/86 but after that he only managed to put out a handful of equally dope beats imo.by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Picked up Bon Rock's and Zalmac's only albums on cd recently, both better than I remembered.by GMM - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
I picked up Silver Fox's new cd (of fantasy thee fame) "The mist", so that's been on rotation. I was pleasently surprised by the material. Not what I expected from a man of that mc-generation regarding lyrics or beats. Only disappointing thing is the sound quality (it needs a good mastering) and that he didn't use any of his signature flow, the continuous sentence style tby GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
I never get tired of this one...love the beat. Pluss the b-side is equaly good, with some better mc-ing.by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
After your big words checka, I listened to about 1/3 of the album and it sounded pretty good. The word Epic didn't come to mind, but I might just pick it up. I saw the video for "Runaway" when it came out and didn' really feel it but without the visuals it's actually pretty good. Hate that video...by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Agree that "Throught the wire" was his best. I like a couple of his songs but the only one I actually own is "Good life". I'd say that his lyrical skills have evolved but his songs have been less and less interessting to me. Average at best...by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Quoterchecka No love for Kurtis Blow's early LPs? Not as whole albums with no filler...his best lp is probably Ego Trip, which still has 2-3 fillers. The fillers weren't just fillers they were usually really bad ones at that.by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
^^I haven't checked out that zoney mash lp yet, but heard good things about it. I like their early recordings better but I'm impressed by how they evolved soundwise and still remained very funky. If I had to pick one joint, I'd pick two..."Darling darling" and "9 til 5".by GMM - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
I can never decide on this question, it's a 4-way tie between "Escape", "Run DMC", "Fat Boys" and "Mantronix: The album". I might have pick one if it's a poll thoughby GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
I was too busy keeping up with the main crew's releases, I never really checked out the rest, apart from Gravediggaz whi I bump to this day. I could never listen to kid rappers because of the high voice, so Shyheim was never really an option, even though he was nice for a kid.by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Since I'm not a football fan, I realy have no know of what he did on the field and I didn't know about his criminal record either. For me he will be remembered by his actions on this one night:by GMM - General Discussion

Sign me up as a fan of the Chubbster. "The One" is a personal favorite and I like the way Chubb sounded more laid back on that track compraed to sounding very hypen on most of his recordings. Top 20 though? I wouldn't agree, more like top 50 if you ask me.by GMM - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
