Yeah, the Extra P remix is TIGHT. Only thing is it reminds me a bit too much of the MadSkillz joint "Skillz In 95". Saying that, Skillz reused a Pharoahe line about "Extra P shitting on the SP", so that might have something to do with it. I used to rate MadSkillz pretty highly but actually I don't think he's all that... certainly his recent output has been disappointing, IMO.

yeah, Mad Skillz/Skillz is a Richmond (VA) kid - where i used to live, for a few years. I've seen him a few times randomly oduring those years (i.e., the Mall, the Liquer store, etc.). His first album was dope....although his flow (and sound) was too close to Big L's, to me..

....but, he had a beast of a line-up of producers on his debut album, 'From, where?!' - Diamond D, EZ Elpee, Large Pro, Clark Kent, Sean J. Period, The Beatnuts, Buckwild, Jay Dee/Dilla...I think i remember Premier, doing a remix. believe it or not, that album went Platinum.

you're definitely right....his output for the past like 5-8 years has been terrible - except his yearly wrap-ups.

peace.

I've only heard "Stress.." in its entirety and the odd track from the other two. Need to get up to date since Stress was a good album.

MadSkillz first album was amazing beatwise... Beatnuts, Q-Tip, Dilla......

But he's a much better hype man for Jazzy Jeff than he is a solo artist nowadays, IMO.
