Yeah I loved the Zimbabwe Legit remixes, Dark Days, In Flux, Unkle, that Midnight 12" is super dope, cool you got it signed.

I know what you mean by the Outsider album, although I think it's really good. Same as the newest one.



Thing is, even though I think they are good albums they weren't nearly as cohesive sounding albums since Shadow basically dabbled in every genre possible for both of em. One song is Hip Hop the next rock, etc. It doesn't flow like an album should even though the individual songs are really clever. Private Press was the last album that he dropped that sounds like it all belongs on the same album, it's arranged properly, it's got track progression without the WTF moments.

Josh Davis and Cut Chemist have gotten so deep into digging and production that sometimes they go way over everyone's heads.

^ I can feel what you're saying man.... I think Shadow feels a bit out of his depth with them as well, as when I saw him he didn't play anything new, even though it was just as The Outsider was coming out. Everything he played was from 92 onwards up to Private Press. He was great still.

I pulled out this album last night...it's been a long time since i last checked it...classic Biz Markie production.

Already had this track on the "Legendary Classics V.1" he put out earlier last year. But I figured this would be worth it for the instrumentals. As a bonus the remix is slamming on this.

Don't know much about this other than it's Japanese and a remix of Tribe Called Quest joints. REALLY well remixed, 3 of the 4 tracks on this are even better then the already great original songs.

Yes, its a strong statement. Only remix that is bad is "Relaxation"
