Good list so far from everybody. I'd like to add:

Blahzay Blahzay - Blah blah blah
Great production with hard beats and quality rap throughout. I've gotten the impression while browsing through different forums that this album is more appreciated in Europe than in the US. Prove me wrong.

X-Clan - Return to mecca
I dont know what it is whith this album but it really speaks to me sonically in its entirety. I actually rate this higher than their debut. Long and solid with a more aggressive delivery from Brother J than on their earlier work.

Different spin coming down the pike...I think ICE CUBE's PREDATOR album was underappreciated on the East.
The riots and things was going on in L.A. and he had a few cuts on that album speaking about them.
92 was a tight year to get in airplay because there was a bunch of heavy duty albums in rotation.

Also COMMON's debut album - CAN I BORROW A DOLLAR. which was produced by No I.D.
The cuts had massive samples across the board.

I dug hard on WRATH OF THE MATH by JERU,not a whole lot of people was feelin that in 96.

I also think ROOTS OF EVIL - KOOL G RAP, in 98 on the illstreet label was quite underappreciated also.
It had the Thugz anthem on there with Johnny 2 gunz and I think Pokaface. But can't remember too well it's been awhile since I broke it out and had a listen.

Can do much better than to give people access to listen to the whole LP.
