Sounds quite nice, I'd consider buying that tape. Going to put it on the ever-growing Bandcamp wishlist.

2814 - Rain Temple
Dream Catalogue, 2016

I've seen a lot of people calling this vaporwave, and I get where they're coming from with that, but I think there's a whole lot more going on with this album than you'd typically find in that genre alone. There are some fantastic electronic passages here that sound almost like they belong on a late-70s Berlin-school album, and yet it still has a nice modern element to it as well. As a whole, the title fits the record pretty well. I can imagine hearing this on a rainy London day in a Blade Runner-like future. Overall, I give this record a huge thumbs up as a recommendation.

If you're interested in this one, Dream Catalogue still has some available on Bandcamp.

Yeah, I don't think the vapor wave tag fits this project either. Personally I thought this was way better than their overhyped debut, even though it didn't quite blow me away or anything. I'd be curious to see where they go next after the hype dies down.

Pub - Do You Ever Regret Pantomime?

Discogs Page

Pub is the pseudonym of an electronic music artist from Glasgow that has been releasing stuff since the mid/late 90s. He also releases music under some other names, but this is probably his most well known project. This was his first full-length album, which I bought at the time of release. His sound would be described as melodic downtempo/ambient techno with a pastoral feel.

I have to say this has held up remarkably well over 15 years later and I still enjoy listening to it today. At the time there was a flood of stuff like this on the market and it was often tough to discern the surface level acts from the ones that would stand the test of time.

^Interesting stuff, I was rooting for the grey goose to fly and it never happened.

There's something very ambienty about that downtempo, it's still downtempo but repetitive and subtle, I like it.
