I pre-ordered that boxset on turntablelab.com . I have to work on Saturday, but I told my boss I would be in after digging . I only had one spot that I really wanted to get to anyway.

i got that Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II.... singles collection on Saturday - got the last one in the store. For some reason, i thought a remastered version of the whole album was going to be included (versus 2 CD's of all the singles and remixes that are contained on the various colored 7"s that come in the boxset, as well.

.....it took about 40 minutes to put the puzzle together.

^^not an actual picture of the puzzle..but, rather, what the puzzle looks like upon completion.

peace.

^Great find, you were pretty lucky to get that. The demand was high and they are sold out pretty much everywhere now. I checked, not only at my local shop, but all the online shops as well, and it's a wash, I missed out.worried

BUT...

I got some really great finds on RSD, checkit!

Arctic Monkeys – R U Mine 7” (Domino) Record Store Day LE 2012

^I knew a little bit about this rock band before taking a chance and the chance paid off. Super loud heavy 45, nice modern rock, nothing fancy, just good rock.

Chocolate Watch Band - In The Midnight Hour / Psychedelic Trip 7” (Mono) Sundazed Music Record Store Day LE 2012

^Dope ass psychedelic relic that never saw the light of day, fuzzy and nice on both sides.

The Cure - Entreat Plus LP (Fiction Records Ltd.) Record Store Day LE 2012

^Huge cure fan, and this was a must have for my collection. Remixed and remastered by Robert Smith, includes bonus tracks... A live concert from recorded on the 1989 Prayer Tour at Wembley Arena, London just after his seminal "Disintegration" album was released. FAT, FAT, FAT!!!

Run-DMC / Carolina Chocolate Drops - You Be Illin' 7” (Warner Brothers) Record Store Day LE 2012

^Needed that Run DMC Single anyway, so I bought this 7" which includes the OG single and a hillarious country funk-ish cover. Kind of a novelty record, but it's really fun to listen to this cover.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. - We Almost Lost Detroit EP (Warner Brothers) Record Store Day LE 2012

^Every records store day, I take a chance and buy a random record from an artist I don't know much about. I knew that my lil brother liked this so I took a chance on it and it was a gamble that I lost. 2 OK songs out of 4 on this hardly worth the 16 bucks I spent. Not my steez at all, even though a few of their songs are ayite.

Flaming Lips - The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends LP (Warner Brothers) Record Store Day LE 2012

^File under the coolest record store day release I have ever seen or heard. Fantastic artwork, fat marble pressing, the music is insanely good. MAN, I love this rock band, WTF are they on that they can drop such messed up in a good way psychedelic rock record and get the guest artists they got to sing completely out of their comfort zone. Erykah Badu does a interesting opera-ish voice, Biz markie does robot noises, this is thick as can be. If there is any way you can still buy this do it, it's well worth the 39 bucks I felt guilty paying. I am putting this in my top 10 coolest rock records I own of all time list.

...and a few non RSDs I landed on RSD...

Freestyle Fellowship – To Whom It May Concern LP (Sun Music) 1991

^Raw backpacker Cali niceness. This is one of the rawest HH albums (production wise and lyrical content) I have heard in a long time. Muddy bass, homemade sounding as hell, cheesy skits = refreshingly real Hip Hop. I paid a mere 12 bucks for this normally 75 dollar used classic cuz the record store owner was too busy to look it up at discogs.

Pete Rock and CL Smooth - Mecca And The Soul Brother LP (Elektra) 1992

^UK pressing of this 'shoulda-had-a-lot-earlier' staple.

Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66 - Look Around LP (A&M Records) 1968

^Sérgio's worst Brazil 66 record so far, but still worth the 50 cents I spent for "The Look of Love" alone.

Billy Cobham / George Duke Band - "Live" On Tour In Europe LP (Atlantic) 1976

^Thanks to Jay Brown for recommending this. I knew about it, slept on it, finally copped it for a nice price. Right off the bat on side one you hear some MF Doom used samples amung a few other sampling artists.

Transformers – Attack of the Decepticons LP (Kid Stuff Records) 1985

^Soundwave is on this, so is Optimus Prime, but it's not the cartoon voices! worried
Still, some great battle sounds on this and a fantastic cover, this will get used on a mixtape or a production somewhere, it has to.
