I like the Bomb Squad's usage of 'Just Kissed My baby' on 'Timebomb'..although all they just did was loop it and added some harder bass (drums) and snares.



I can't even count how many times their music has been sampled in Rap music....

^^I haven't checked out that zoney mash lp yet, but heard good things about it.

I like their early recordings better but I'm impressed by how they evolved soundwise and still remained very funky. If I had to pick one joint, I'd pick two..."Darling darling" and "9 til 5".

...so, after The Meters break up....Art Neville (and Cyril Neville) went on with the rest of his brothers (Aaron and Charles) to start, The Neville Brothers....


...the other cats (from The Meters) still has a lawsuit against the bands former producers (publishing rights, masters, royalties) and renamed/recreated themselves as, 'The Funky Meters'.
