That makes me need to bust this out again when I get done w/ work.

^Some of the warmest heaviest bass lines I've heard from K-Def are on this nice mellow piece right here. Interesting when he talked about producing this, very inspirational for me personally.

Props for the words!

rchecka that album has been getting ridiculous spins here, incredible what he did throughout IMO. As mentioned in the interview, I heard the snare drums on "Dark Soul" and almost fell over; knock that track in some nice headphones and it just opens up eyes: "shit sounds CLEAN!"

It was a lot of fun just talking to K-Def, he's clearly very passionate and excited about what he does. He's quick to imitate his favorite basslines and drums (can't count how many times he said "you know what I'm talking about, that 'badaddadambada'") and even started playing me some of his isolation work (he was working on some James Brown ish when we talked).

I will mention, his next album is gonna be dope too...I think it'll be a mix of instrumentals and a couple vocal tracks, got a sneak at one of them and it is nice!

Anyways, thanks again for peeping and for throwing up some comments here. I'll link to any relevant stuff in this section as well. Peace!
