Last night scored some really massive rock LPs...

Pantera - A Vulgar Display of Power LP (ATCO Records) 1992 (2010 Rhino Reissue)

^BLAMMO! Right in the face of that guy. I heard (maybe it was a rumor) that this guy was such a fan of Pantera that he volunteered to get his face punched for the the cover of this jaw dropping heavy metal album. IMO this is one of the best hardest rock albums ever, and it is loaded with heart thumping, mosh pitting riffs and beats. Possibly the best Pantera album although that's arguable since there are 3 strong contenders for that title. Man, I totally forgot how slow and hard "Walk" was until I bumped this last night. In stark contrast to "Fucking Hostile" and "A New Level" This is a fantastic repress and now one of the coolest metal albums I own. I love this shit.

A Certain Ratio - To Each... LP (Drastic Plastic Records) 1981 (2013 LE Reissue)

^ Limited Edition to 500 numbered colored reissue of this enigmatic post punk album. One of the many punk groups that slipped under my radar till recently. I don't even know how to describe this strange haunting album, it's pretty progressive sounding compared to all other post punk album's I've heard. Thick production, unpredictable change ups, a real head scratcher. Lot's of heavy dub in this and even a little brass gets injected into the mix. I'll have to go back to this again a few times to even get it. It's definitely a great album though, that much I can say. It's also available in black vinyl limited and numbered to 500, so basically 1000 of these are out there in circulation. Post punk fans should cop it.

How To Destroy Angels ‎- Welcome Oblivion LP (Columbia) 2013

^ Trent Reznor's new album not as Nine Inch Nails but as "How to Destroy Angels". I don't know what happened to Trent, he must have fallen in love with some girl or something because his uber-dark, painful "I hurt myself today just to see if I could feel" tude has lightened up quite a bit. Not at all what I was expecting. Compared to other artists this is a dark album but compared to NIN it's a lively frolic through the fields. Very Technoish sounding, a lot of instrumentals, and Trent is more of a background singer to the female vocalists on this. It's pretty cool, don't get me wrong, but it's so thick and grown up sounding that it's gonna take a few more listens to understand it. Some of the songs would be cool on a techno mix, believe it or not, it's pretty advanced sounding.

My Bloody Valentine - MBV LP (MBV Records) 2013

^Fans have waited 20 years for My Bloody Valentine to drop their next ground-breaking shoegazer album. I'd say it was worth the wait! This is indescribably cool rock. This will be an underground classic for the next generation of MBV fans. I'm almost dumbstruck listening to this, it's that good. I feel like I'd be a bumbling idiot trying to put words on something so much bigger than words. I'll just let the pros talk about it, here's a Rolling Stones review. Buy this, it's already HTF, limited, and worth every penny for something that is eventually going to skyrocket in price based on it's limited release factor and the reviews blowing up the Internet. Highly, Highly recommended. If you ever buy only one rock album that I recommend, make this that one!

Edit: Clarification

/\/\ not really familliar with any of those except the Pantera joint. As for the Trent Reznor joint, he's really been on alot of different stuff over the years. The Saul Williams -The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust album being my favorite.
a few very random tracks off of the album

^^ saw Saul Williams at an amazing "poetry slam" years ago, one of the better performances I've seen without a doubt.

Ancient Astronauts - Into Bass And Time 2lp ( Tried to edit all the extra stuff out of the pic , but photobucket is being difficult . On my phone it is edited, but on my laptop you can see blue walls, blinds , and my pile of junk . I hope you see the edited pic smiling smiley )
A nice mix of electronic and hip hop . Found the full album on youtube .

This album came with a dl card , but when I tried to use it , it said invalid code . I emailed the label (ESL Music) and told them about it . They emailed me back and said they were gonna send me a copy of the album on cd and asked for my t-shirt size so they could send me a shirt (AWESOME!!!)
