Enjoying your reviews Beatlover . I would love to see De La and Outkast !!!
As for you Rchecka , I don think Sublime and Rancid belong in that list , but that's just me . Sure the radio and Mtv found seething in both bands that they could exploit , but pop fluff , and limping them up with the like of No Doubt , Garbage , and all those other terrible band ... shame on you !!!!tongue sticking out smiley

MILK CARTON KIDS

I had never heard of these guys until I watched the documentary of the music for the film Inside Llewyn Davis. They blew me away with their melodies that reminds me of Everly Brothers/Simon and Garfunkel. Went to see them in a nice old venue in SF that held about 600 people at the most. They were fucking superb..funny as hell when chatting with the audience, brilliant on the guitars and in perfect harmony all night. They played for about 90 minutes which went by really quick. There was probably about 500 people there - these guys deserve to make it big. If you haven't heard them then please check them out..Here is their Dvd that someone uploaded to youtube.

Steely Dan - Concord Pavillion

They should be renamed Steely Jam. They were a fucking tight band that extended just about every tune they played. Donald Fagen's voice definitely improved as the concert wore on as they played just about every tune you would want to hear. Great show - they were supported by a real nice trio called Bobby Broom Organi-Sation which I need to look up. Here's a taste of what I saw..

Paul McCartney is next..and after seeing his Glastonbury performance I scored tickets to see Jack White in SF on the 23rd!!
Even better is that the venue is 10 minutes walk from my ex brother in laws place where I am staying.
