Various - Dark Highway Soundtrack 2LP (Music On Vinyl) 2016 RE of 1996 OG

^Finally I got one of my “must have on vinyl” soundtracks last night. The Dark Highway Soundtrack produced by Trent Reznor. I vaguely remember the David Lynch movie, I know I’ve seen it at least once, but I vividly remember the soundtrack as I’ve enjoyed playing the CD for years.

^Nice high gloss movie stills inside the thick gatefold.

Track Listing:

^This is a nice upgrade from MOV's typical outer with the sticky tape. Overall, I'd give this resissue a solid 9/10 and I never give 10/10 ratings so that's a strong recommendation. The sound quality is exemplary, the packaging and artwork are top notch, the inner sleeves are nice so you won't scratch them on cheap paper and the outer sleeve isn't a pain to open and close so I'd say Music On VInyl outdid their usual high quality output on this soundtrack.

^This sounds like a great one to pick up. I'm a big fan a Lynch's films, and this one ranks among his best, IMHO. I have this one on CD too, and I love to put it on in my car and crank it up on my drive home on the nights when I'm in the office until about 3:00 AM. Makes a nice soundtrack for speeding along the empty beach roads at that time of the morning.

Billy Green - Stone soundtrack . I'm not familiar with Billy Green or the movie Stone , but I'm digging this soundtrack . Apparently it's a biker movie from Australia in the 70s . The instrumentation is great on this one . Lots of moog . This , I believe , is the first album I've owned with a didgeridoo on it . The music ranges from jazz to rock o funk , but is a good listen for sure .

Various - Kids soundtrack . This was one of my favorite movies in my late teens / early twenties . I love raw honest indie films . I do think it was a bit much for some people though . One day a cassette of the soundtrack appeared in my apartment and I loved it ! . I listened to it for years and then it magically disappeared in the same way it showed up . Since then , I have looked for this on vinyl . It has finally been reissued after being out of print for 20 years . I had to cop it . There is a lot of Folk Implosion on here . Album tracks and score for the film . There is also a hard to find hip hop joint on here too .

^That Stone soundtrack sounds pretty cool. I'll be keeping an eye out for that album, and the movie too. I dig those old Aussie biker films.

Kids was a really good film. That Sebadoh track you posted there is great. I'm a huge fan of Lou Barlow's work, and what they were doing around the time this came out was some of the best stuff he's ever done, both with Sebadoh and Folk Implosion.
