^Groovy spy music man! Slightly corny in spots but for the most part an enjoyable listen all the way thru!
The Bob Crew Generation Orchestra - Barbarella LP (Dynovoice Records) 1968
^Speaking of groovy there are SO many hip hippy joints on this sci fi soundtrack it was recently reissued. Got this OG for a nice price locally. Another great listen.
The Ray Brown Orchestra - The Adventurers LP (Symbolic) 1970
^Arranged by Quincy Jones and BTW it is one of his best OSTs IMO. This is one of those often overpriced due to demand soundtracks that I got lucky on not long ago by finding it at the right price. This one has a variety of music styles on it including a sexually charged orgasmic woman groaning thru an entire song.
Gotta love that!
The Stony Island Band - Stony Island LP (1978) Glades
^Kind of an obscure Chitown soundtrack with a little soul and disco and a hint of the blues. Not that great, not bad.
Melvin Van Peebles - Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song LP (Stax) 1971
^DAMN YOU RONNIE! Why does there always gotta be a "Ronnie" signing his name on my used records before I get them. At least he did that on the inside.
Anywayz, in case you didn't already know, ^THIS is the first blaxploitation soundtrack ever made.

It's loaded with samples used memorably by Madlib (Quasimoto's first LP) along with many other Hip Hop tracks by various artists. Still a pretty hard to find Stax record, due to high demand, even this beat up copy cost me a little bit more than I wanted to spend. But, hey, sometimes you gotta pay more for the good stuff.
Various – Baadasssss! Soundtrack Album Sampler LP (BBE) 2004
^(Shown in the center) A sampler, this OST never got the full official vinyl treatment. You can buy the entire OST on CD, and this sampler on wax, which is good enough for me. It has the meat and potato songs from the movie so I'm glad to have it. As mentioned above, it's Mario Van Peoples tribute movie to his pop. Great movie, great soundtrack.
Bobby Womack & J.J. Johnson – Across 110th Street LP (United Artists) 1972
^One of my favorite blaxploitation STs, this one is killer all the way thru. It's still fairly cheap too, so if you like that sound definitely don't be sleeping on this stormer. I got this one sealed and it's one of those nice surprises to find a record that old, that good still sealed. You get that nice musty/new smell the moment you break the wrapper.
Quincy Jones - The Lost Man LP (UNI Records) 1969
^Another Quincy Jones ST and this one is more low profile but still really good. You see this one all over the place, it's not rare, but it's worthy of purchase if priced under 15 bucks.
James Brown - Black Caesar LP (Polydor) 2004 RE of 1973 OG
^Speaking of blaxploitation, you KNOW James Brown is the man. This reissue is not bad at all, nice and cheap at 9.99 and essential funk for your crates.

^Same as above, absolutely essential for the funk crates. I got this beat up OG and I love it. James Brown does a killer blues song on this, it's straight blues and I've never heard him sing the blues as sweet as that.

^DAMN STRAIGHT! I was pumped to find this fairly hard to find official promo. I don't even have to tell you how essential this is for your Hip Hop soundtracks section because you probably already know that. Except for the more moody instrumental music on this every single track on this is dope. Kam's "Every Single Weekend" is one of my favorite trunk banger Hip Hop songs ever. DJ Pooh laced Kam with one of the best beats I've ever heard from him on that track.

Oh yeah, the music. After all that's the real reason to buy this.
Actually, this isn't a real Soundtrack it's a compilation of songs from these soundtracks: Emanuelle In America, Emanuelle Nera Orient Reportage, and Emanuelle Perche' Violenza Alle Donne? The music is, well, not horrible for easy listening. There are some slightly funky moments but I repeat, "easy listening". Still, it's soft porn 70s style easy listening and that's kinda cool, right?
There's gotta be a proper place to use this music as a sample for something but I personally think this record is better eye candy than ear candy. I vaguely remember these movies from Skinamax back in the 90s when I was in high school, that channel was scrambled, but if you squinted really hard you could make out her boobs. It didn't take much back in High School to get me all worked up, the bra and panties section of Sears catalog? Sure. Blurred wavy lines on TV that resembled boobs for 5 seconds out of every 60? Yeah.
If I remember right about all those movies, all that girl ever did was walk around topless and do various dudes. There was a plot, she had a job to do, and it was not whoring, but a real job, but I can't recall what it was because
no guy who ever watched Emanuelle payed attention to the plot in those things.
