A drummer led jazz fusion record from the 70s. Pretty guitar heavy as well. A good bit of mood and a variety on this one. Probably most famous for the track that Massive Attack sampled on "Safe From Harm".

Richard Hell's second LP. I've been looking for this on any format for awhile, and was a bit surprised when I saw this in the racks at a local store. It's a current reissue on the Celluloid/Red Star label that was pressed at Rainbo. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this looks like something Scorpio may have done, perhaps they licensed this like they did with other Red Star stuff like Suicide. At any rate, the record itself is decently pressed and sounds good. As for the music, this album isn't as good as Blank Generation, but it's still essential listening if you're a fan of that album. In general, this LP has a less energetic, more downcast feeling than that LP.

The album right before the monumental "Wake Up Everybody". This one has more variety and is maybe a little less slickly produced. It's a good Philly Soul record if you like the style.

The only GP album I have and probably his most famous. I guess this sort of falls into the late 70s UK Power Pop category, possibly what some people might have referred to as New Wave before the lines between that and New Romantic became a bit blurred. It's a great album and should be easy to pick up cheap. If you like Joe Jackson, Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, and that type of thing, you'll probably love this as well.

A 70s 2xLP comp of 50s trio recordings. Very different from Silver's more popular albums on Blue Note, but this great jazz as well. Many of the tracks here are presented in Mono, no rechannelled Stereo as far as I can tell. You can probably find this cheap and it is definitely worth grabbing.

I love that Billy Cobhan, a great jazz record for not a lot of dough. I also really like this one from him, kind of along the same lines.

I will look for that other record at some point. I was listening to Mahavishnu Orchestra last night and just saw that he also played drums on the Inner Mounting Flame.

I just signed in to say I'm Bumping Shabazz right now, and it's crazy.

The 80s synth (I think maybe the ARP synth) is off the charts spacey on this.
