^That Black Uhuru LP was issued under several different names and went through many different pressings. My copy is a CD called "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner". Also probaby my favorite Black Uhuru album.

Good info. I didn't know it had other titles. I got the Canadian Kingston pressing, I'm wondering if any other pressing on vinyl besides mine would be better or if this is one of those I should have just stuck with CD.

@ Rchecka, my friend had an Island/Mango pressing of the Uhuru LP years ago. I've not heard it recently. However, most of the old Island/Mango U.S. or UK pressings that I have (which are not very many) are outstanding sound-quality wise in terms of mastering and the actual pressing quality. Most reggae nuts will always tell you that JA pressings were the worst. Smaller labels and licensing outfits that imported stuff might not be the best either. I have an old Jacob Miller LP (on a small label) that is supposed to be a U.S. pressing but the quality is more like a JA pressing. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually pressed in JA, and only the jackets were made in North America.

Hugh Mundell - Mundell

Played this in the car again recently. As great as "Africa" is, I think I like this album and "Blackman's Foundation" more.

Black Uhuru - The Dub Factor

1983 Island Records Mango imprint - US

I'll add to the Black Uhuru lovefest with another one from this morning's box. Had to listen to Puffed Out twice - I love the guitar riff on that.
