James Ruskin - Point 2

Pulled out my CD of this album yesterday for some reason. Hard, pounding techno on the Tresor label. IIRC Ruskin deviated from this production style considerably later in the 2000s. A good album, surprisingly not too hard to listen to all the way through despite being probably designed as DJ tools. This is a good album, but I think his next album on Tresor, Into Submission, is a bit better and more refined overall.

Trinere- Trinere lp 1986
So I'm not an expert in freestyle by any means but growing up in south Florida during the 80's, freestyle was very much a part of my life as a kid listening to the radio. Power 96 to be exact. DJ Laz would do these sets at night and they were the shit. Anyway, I thought I'd throw this on this morning. I was instantly brought back to that one summer 198_ .
This one has a few classics that never get old.

The Neon Judgement - General Pain & Major Disease LP

Synth-based band from Belgium, quite dancey, sort of on the border of EBM. Definitely of its time, but I think a lot of these tracks have held up quite well. This LP is actually a "best of" comp of sorts that covers tracks originally released from '82-'87. My copy is on PIAS USA, M&D by Wax Trax. This fits right in with a lot of old Wax Trax stuff as well.
