Filth of Mankind - The Final Chapter CD

Heavy crust from Poland. This band sticks to the traditional style but everything is so well done it doesn't matter. I wish they had stuck around a bit longer and made more than one full length album. One of the former members plays in the band Morne, but I'm not too familiar with their music. This is great though, one of my favorites in the genre. You can grab all their material on Ba]ndcamp for free now also.

Nice !! I just wish I knew what they were pissed off about . That's my only complaint . When I hear crust / punk , I am always curious where their angst stems from . Are they anti government , is humanity completely disappointing them ??? Any idea where their stance is ?? Good stuff either way .

In this case, the lyrics are in Polish, which I don't speak or read, so I can't help you there. I'll have to dig out the CD booklet but I don't recall offhand if there were English translations in there or not. Re: crust lyrics, some bands are more explicit about their lyrics than others. I always appreciate a lyric sheet with any type of music, even the lyrics are just nonsense or very vague.

I'll just take a wild guess and say it's probably political or social . That tends to be the trend with crust bands .. I too have no knowledge of the Polish language , and really no knowledge of their music . Nice deep digging LionsMouth !!

DoomHawk - DoomHawk LP (Rumbletown Records) Unknown Year

^Very little is known about this epic band who dropped one album. I found this album locally and jumped on it based on the hand silk screened cover of a different old album painted over and the irresistible title. Turns out, in the long run, I think it's gonna be one of my favorite all time metal albums. These guys wanted to do a rock album so goddam bad and you can hear it. They got every instrument you can think of from flutes to sax to whatever. Each song in a way reminds me of Black Sabbath songs the way they drastically change from style to style and then back again to hard rock but it's so much more organic than Black Sabbath.

Very raw sounding, very DIY, but it doesn't detract from the album at all, on the contrary it really works! As far as I can see online there's only one place (besides the one seller in Germany on Discogs) you can buy this epic mysterious album and that's at the label's own website. HERE you can buy it for 12 bucks and it includes digital download.

There at that website you'll be able to listen to the songs as well if you are curious. I particularly like their description of the album.
