It's a decent effort, released in '94. It's not a throw-back to what they were doing in the 80's and rap-wise they're not trying too much to sound like (then) "new school mc's". The album is ok, it won't blow your mind but it's not for the can either. It's a respectable but somewhat forgettable comeback.

I always thought that a Shadow and De La Rocha collab. was just a rumor. Didn't know this really existed. DOPE!

It reminds me of this gem from the Compilation "Lyricist Lounge" 2". I bought this when I was like 15 years old.
