i gotta add in....

Accept Your Own and Be Yourself - No I.D.
**a grossly underappreciated album, which alot heads didnt even know about it when it dropped....unless you was from Chi-Town, maybe. a productional masterpiece (by NO I.D. with the help of Dug Infinite), IMO...No ID did some alright raps on it too....

The Future Is Now - Non Phixion
*what's to say?!...with production by DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Professor...and ill raps by Ill Bill and Goretex - scratches by my man DJ Eclipse...dope

The Best Part - J-Live
** aside from the record label shelfing this...it took J-Live long enough to make this album, but hey....producers was in full effect - Prince Paul, DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Grap Luva, DJ Spinna

DJ Majesty was my very first boyfriend ....I was going out with him around when Da King & I released their very first record... "Soulman" ...we had broken up by the time Contemporary Jeep Music came out...I bought it on the DL and cursed him not only because I hated him at the time but because it was damned good...his production was stellar for that time and even though he's gone on to do other major things (more notably with R&B ) he is still really proud of that record.....

ETA...twenty years later..we're back together...which explains the biasgrinning smiley

Not to hijack a good thread but he should be proud of that album. (If you are referring to CJM) I had that album on CD and for years I sought down the LP when I found out about it I blogged about it because it was and still is one of my grail records. Not uber rare or any thing, it's just in high demand so it's very hard to find especially in good condition.

He should also be proud of this early dope pre-Da King and I joint

Oh and tell him he really should join cratedigging.co.
Maybe tell him you'll abstain from "relations" with him until he signs up.

anywayz... back on track.

Uptownkid I still gotta get that NO ID, I have been wanting that for years.

And co-sign on that Non-Phixion album, I always was disappointed that they never really did much as Non-Phixion after that besides a few one offs.

okay...my last adds of the day. that wrecks n efects soulman joint got me thinkin' (six degrees of separation); about an album i used to pump all the time when it dropped that I think is underappreciated....."it's me, it's me, it's me..it's the r-e-d...."

A Shade Of Red - Redhead Kingpin and the FBI

and.....

Saga Of A Hoodlum - Intelligent Hoodlum (Tragedy)
*ALOT of people forgot about this album....not too many checked for it even when it dropped in '93. I know i did, though...

super-dope production all the way through...by the one and only, K-Def
