Name the kind of songs that inspire the youth to question authority, or downright attack it.
Drop names of some groundbreaking songs that resonate years after it's original release date.

Name some top choice rebellion themed songs from any genre that you feel are truly relevant still. (Rock, Reggae, Hip Hop, Blues, Jazz, Punk, Post Punk, Grunge, Electronic, Traditional or Modern Irish* Drinking Music, , Folk, Country, etc.,)

Music has been the most major form of protest and expression since the dawn of time.
You can go back to the old negro spirituals if you will.This context would cover a tremendous amount of music,but I guess we'll cut it down to size because we dig where your coming from.I think these list will tell alot about the person's age and experiences.I was fortunate to have lived through an era as a young child that had thousands of these types of songs.It would take ages to compile a comprehensive list,RC..so i'm just gonna go from the head.

Gonna have to think on this topic some, like BM31 said there are just too many to list (particularly when we're clearly all fans of music that is damn-near rebellious in its nature). Still, I think you're right rchecka, some songs are just the perfect examples of this spirit and BM31's list is def. on point IMO as well.

Just a few that come to the top of my head:

Fat Cats Bigga Fish/Pimps - The Coup (this will always reign as one of the best instances of social commentary ever in Hip Hop to me, amazing)

Haha,I knew you would say that,that is why I threw that one in there.I always liked that record but in all seriousness the lady is talking about the possibility of nuclear war,back in the Reagan cold war era.
I always like the german version better than the english version,It just sounds better for some reason.
For those who didn't get a chance to live through it(The Cold War).Trust me, it was some of the stupidest shit ever.Both sides had over 10,000 nukes at one time.Imagine what all that money could have done for medicine,education,poverty,etc.
