Nice picks! That Verocai record is just fire and I've really been needing that Maia comp.

^^ thanks homie . That Arthur Verocai is probably one of my favorite purchases in a long time . I know you like a lot of Brazilian , so of you have some similar artists to recommend , I would appreciate it . That Tim Maia is dope too. It came with a dl card , so I been bumpin that shit at work this morning.

I'll have to think on that, I've not got the deepest Brazilian collection but like you it's always something I'm learning more about. I have a bunch of really great cuts on random comps. that have left me little information, I really gotta step up and pony out for a few of the classics. Not really on the Verocai tip but top on my list and I'm embarrassed I don't own it is this Jorge Ben record. I know BM has dropped plenty of knowledge on this subject as well.

Picked these up a few days ago

Various Artists - Mississippi Blues 1927 - 1941 lp This is a great collection of front porch foot tappin acoustic blues . Really raw recordings ( just like I like it) .

Various Artists - Eccentric Soul : a Red Black and Green Production 2lp Another ridiculously good soul release by Numero . Came with 2 bonus record sleeves with some of the artists original artwork , and a Numero trading card . The second trading card came with the Capsoul joint I posted a few days ago.

Various Artists - Thai Funk Vol. 2 2lp First off , the packaging of this record is awesome . It comes in a hand stitched cloth sleeve . Also , you have the gatefold jacket with the artists original artwork , and inside , pics of some of the original album labels . Plus , you get a dl card which went straight on my iPod . This allowed me to drive everybody crazy at work yesterday . Now to the music. I really enjoyed this album. Many different styles , but all pretty funky . There are also a few covers of american joint on here too ( Hot Stuff by Donna Summers and Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry ) . It took me a minute to adjust to the vocals since I had never really listened to Thai music , but the music as a whole is very good.

That Thai funk record is something I saw at a record store but just couldn't afford at the time, looks like it may be worth going back to cop.
