I hate to use the term neo-soul, it's so coined it's not even funny, but it's not your standard soul joint from the 60s-70s and I have no substitution term so I usually just call this more modern flavor "soul" or funk/soul.

I've never come across anything by her on vinyl out in the wild. Then again I don't collect 45s so that might be part of the reason (she was a big singles artist).
