Their label also had some interesting releases by other artists during the 80s and 90s that are worth looking into (many OOP unfortunately).

Man, I think being in these threads is about to cost me some money!! Thanks for the heads up. I'll be checking out some of the other folks on Geometrik ASAP.

Last Night...

Cop Shoot Cop - Ask Questions Later LP (Big Cat) 1993

^Good album. I bought this for one song and one song only and turns out there's a lot more than one good song.

$10 Bill

^I remember being at the club First Avenue back in 1994 and watching a VJ playing tunes on the big screen as a huge crowd danced around me, that video in particular stuck in my memory like glue. I tracked down the CD the next week and played it at the club I DJed at and it had no fanfare (it's not really a dance song) so it kind of fizzled as a club hit in my world. But I never really forgot about it, and when I found it priced right on vinyl I jumped.

DIVE - First Album CD

Pulled out a forgotten classic today. DIVE was the solo project of former KLINIK member Dirk Ivens. If you don't know KLINIK, they were one of the most important electro-industrial projects of the 80s. After KLINIK finished its initial run, Ivens came out with this (originally issued on vinyl in 1990), which is probably the harshest, most aggressive thing he's done under the DIVE banner. Think early Esplendor Geometrico meets early SPK, maybe a touch of Suicide here and there but hardly any melody going on. Very minimalist in nature (even compared to some KLINIK material), just some bleeping loops and what sounds like a drum machine run through a distortion pedal, with distorted yelling over the top. Tempos are generally pretty slow to midtempo, no EBM dancefloor hits here. At times this album can be overblown, but has held up very well over the years IMHO. After this DIVE would go in a relatively more accessible direction, but some of the harshness from this album would show up later in Iven's Sonar project.

Norbert Möslang - indoor_outdoor

One of the founders of Voice Crack, the Swiss experimental/electronic noise pioneers. This is Möslang's 2012 album and it's just spectacular. There's one track per side on the LP, each equally challenging. This is definitely one of those records that you'll get out of it what you're willing to put into it in terms of time and attention. Listen closely and you'll hear all kinds of cool soundscapes unfold inside of the harsh electronic noise he creates.

Oddly enough I don't have any Voice Crack or Moslang stuff. From the little of those clips I checked out it definitely sounds like experimental noise meets electroacoustic music, which I like. I'll have to add that to the long list.
