Yeah, a lot of those 90s ambient techno/house acts were undoubtedly influenced by dub. Admittedly I don't know the Orb's catalog too well beyond stuff that I've heard through friends or whatever. I did an Orb live performance around the time they released an album on Kompakt. This would've been over 10 years ago now. At any rate, the live set was actually quite enjoyable...usually for that type of music live performances are very hard to pull off and just end up being boring.
