Various Artists - Studio One Women 2xLP

Very interesting comp. Nowadays you have a lot of reggae related stuff being reissued but for whatever reason, the female artists get overlooked. Some great tracks on this comp, no real duds in the bunch. Normally I don't get these Soul Jazz comps on vinyl because they're pricey, but this was used and traded into a local store.

The Soul Jazz comps are always very pricey but I've found that you always get what you pay for. They are import pricey for US buyers, I'm assuming maybe they aren't as steeply priced in the UK.

^Soul Jazz has done some good work. I think this is the only comp. I have on vinyl as I'm usually more likely to buy their stuff on CD due to the pricing. One thing I don't like is that they have started to recycle stuff with the Studio 1 releases lately and they master from needledrops sometimes. I would hope their stuff is cheaper in the UK...

Revolutionaries - Sounds Vol. 2

Straightforward, but killer '79 Channel One dub LP reissued by Digikiller/Deeper Knowledge. Plenty of heavy bass on this one. The silkscreened cover is really well done too. This was a limited Black Friday RSD release but the leftover copies went out to various places, so get on it if you want this.
