Ethiopians - Slave Call LP (Rohit Records) 1988

^Very stripped down roots reggae. Heavy drums, vocal harmonies, despite the name and cover this is loaded with feel good freedom songs.

The Blues Busters ‎– Phillip & Lloyd LP (Scepter Records) 1975

^I put this one in my top 20 albums of all time. File under: feel good lovers rock, all reggae covers of soul classics. This music epitomizes a care free, fun and romantic listening experience. Very few reggae records bring down my stress levels as effectively as this. This is easy to appreciate chunes for everyone whether they like reggae or not. I'll play this for all major holidays around the house and it puts my whole family in a good mood.

I could pick any song from this album and post it here as a good representative of the album but start with this...

^Tip: Play this for your wife or girlfriend after you were being a typical man jerk hole and you'll be forgiven right quick.

Those both sound quite nice. I have a CD reissue of the Ethiopians first album and that is a totally different style, more along the lines of late 60s rocksteady.
