I have much respect to both mc's because of their longevity. I have a hard time thinking of anything by Edo I like after his first 2 albums while Sadat still drops a gem every now and then, not to mention his first solo album and the Brand Nubian albums speak for themselves.

I've only heard "Stress.." in its entirety and the odd track from the other two. Need to get up to date since Stress was a good album.

excellent album...i need to break that back out, for some rotation. can't get enough of, 'Pretty Girl', 'Come Down' and "Funky Nassau, pt. 1'.
peace.
True, I stil haven't heard their second album in its entirety (only know 2 joints) but it's supposedly even better.
My friend recently introduced me to Kyuss, most definately one of

Yeah it's dope. The beats are fresh and nod-inviting lyrics are funny and catch your ear in a good way. Solid album throughout and even though not every song is a banger there is no filler imo. Favorite tracks are probably "Bags packed" & "The bomb". Still don't have a copy of it as it does tend to get a bit overpriced. Dope cover too.

I second the 3.5 rating, good not great and didn't do much for me after the first lp. They were forerunners of that style though and stayed true to themselves. Never knew about that beef with LOTUG but now I finally know who they were talking about on "Here come the lords".

Today:
ATCQ - Midnight Marauders
Never been a huge fan of ATCQ and been giving their albums repetead spins over the years to try and hear what others hear, but only The Low End Theory makes a big lasting impression on me.
Also played Chamillionaire - Ultimate Vicotry which is a really solid album. Havent listened to it since it came out but been humming "Pimp Mode" ever since.

Been playing some random albums I haven't listened to in quite a while like
Grandmaster Flash - They said it couldn't be done
Rappers Convention S/T
Then had to bump Schooly D's first 2 albums.
Also picked up that PRT ep from 1999 that R-checka mentioned a while back.
On top of that: Big K.R.I.T. - Big K.R.I.T. Wuz here (if you ask me it's better that returnof4eva

I just file her under "talented artist with strong voice but crappy songs", just like the already mentioned Whitney, Joss Stone, John Legend and thousands of others before her and thousands of others after her. I recognize the talent but dislike the outcome.

This is hilarious.
Brings back memories of those articles about the death of JMJ being no surprise as he was a gangsta and rapped about guns.

^^Never heard that PRT ep, sounds dope.
I recently pulled out the Jurassic 5 first album. Man this is forst of all way better than I remember (I only used to like Concrete schoolyard & action satisfaction) but it also shocked me that this album is as old as it is...could've sworn it came out about 8 years ago...or am I getting old very fast?

Looks nice! Seems someone put some effort into this. I would pick it up but with the shipping cost it's about $30, which is too much for any tape for me.

^^ I know Wuf Ticket did another 12" called "Ya mama" (more rap oriented) and it got a reply called "ya papa" from some chick named Clair. But enough pointless trivia, I got a bunch of big gap-fillers right before x-mas so I've been playing all of them throughout the hollidays:
Goerge Clinton - You shouldnt-nuf bit fish
Ohio Players - Ouch
Ohio Players - Tendern

Thanks R! Not quite what I expected, but pretty decent. Thought it was gonna suck after the few first seconds but it grows. Zach is nice and I've been putting off buying both Lyricist Lounge volumes since they dropped but the CIA joint is one of few that I actually do recall from them.
Today I finally got the LL Cool J 10", so it'll get its share of spins.

Make sure not to sleep on this one! I was very impressed.
Wasn't this "coming soon" about 5 years ago? I didn't realize he finally put it out. Gonna check it though, Saigon has his moments.

^She picked some good stuff, the only one I don't know anything about is that Fearless one, curious about that. I'll definitely post some snippets G, no prob, stay tuned.
It's a decent effort, released in '94. It's not a throw-back to what they were doing in the 80's and rap-wise they're not trying too much to sound like (then) "new school m
