Finally picked up Charles Bradley & The Menahan Street Band - No time for dreaming. Might just be my favorite soul album after the 70's! Dude has that proper soul voice, more emotion than clear notes.
One of my favorite dancehall tracks. managed to track down the lp...
And something I should have picked uo years ago but never got around to it: Ohio Players - Pleasure,

^^ haha, hey GMM you know in this youtube driven world, somebody is gonna come up with something like that.Way back when they used to have stuff on tv that really didn't make no sense but it was funny in it's own weird way..Like Benny Hill, Monte Python's Flying Circus,Second City TV,etc..I used to dig on that stuff back in the day.
Monty Python's is the shit! That

First ones that came to mind reading through this thread as big songs after '95 were "Simon says" by Monch, "Next episode" by Dre and "Hip Hop" byt Dead prez. I think longevity has to be a criteria for lists like this. It's hard to argue that songs only a few people still talk about should be highly ranked no matter how big they were at the time. If we'

indeed...but the concept would have to be something so otherworldly people would have to say WTF!
It would have to be crafted like nothing anybody has ever heard before.Almost like P-Funk was for us,
back in the 70s or when I heard Promentalshitbackwashpsychosisenemasquad/The Doo Doo chasers
Only George Clinton can make a smooth funky record about s**t.

Trust me, GMM...It (Hip hop, soul, funk, reggae) was ALREADY in you.
It's just that some thing or someone or some event happened down the line to bring it out.
Your bloodline is rockin' some serious multi-culture,fam.
Poland,Sweden,Iran,Pakistan...there is a myriad of unique musical instrumentation and interpretation within these cultures!!So I am interested in to HOW exactly

Well, I'm not sure how my taste in music combines with my bloodline but here are the facts...
I'm polish on my mothers side and pakistani on my fathers side, born and raised in sweden and growing up all of my friends were iranian. I guess growing up I learned which music NOT to listen to so I had to find something different. Other than that I can't find any cultural reason for me

Since they finally dropped Big Krit's "K.R.I.T. was here" and "Return of 4eva" on double lp, I had to pick'em up. Along with Rasheed Chappell's "Future before nostalgia". That's 3 of my favorite "recently" released albums albums in one purchase, so I'm happy.

I figuered I wasn't alone in this. I never buy bulks either. I never even look at bulks to begin with and if someone hands me free stuff I know it's gonna get the hell out of here when I get the chance to move it. "I know you like vinyl and I know you like hip hop so here's some wack ass rnb".

I've recently started weeding out vinyl & cd's I never listen too and after a second listen I remembered why. Most of it I got for free or for a few cents but some I really don't remeber how they got there. I've gotten rid of most and suddenly I feel a lot better. So what wack, useless or unlistenable music have you gathered?
Here are some examples:

^^^Damn I had no idea, I see them when I enter the page.
Anyway I'm talking about:
Lacksley Castell - Princess lady LP
Lacksley Castell - Morning glory LP
Winston Hussey - The girl I adore LP
The first two are absolutely beautiful classics and the Winston's album, although a bit uneven, is still a great record.

Nice job Vamosarapiar! Been hearing/reading a lot about this dude in the past months. The film looks to be worthwile and his story is overall interesting. Not a fan on his type of music though but I will watch it soon.

I actually have a written down must buy list. Unfortunately it is as of this moment exactly 917 items long So if I'm gonna name anything here it's gotta be something that is commercially available (somewhat). Looking to cop these on vinyl pretty soon (I hope):
Budos Band - Budos Band II
Menahan Street Band - Make the road by walking
Daktaris - Soul Explosion
Big K.R.I.T. - Return

Been bumpin The Roots - Undun. Probably my favorite Roots album by now...
Wow, while I'm not hating on Undun that hurts my soul a little! Favorite Roots album?
To be honest I've never been much of a Roots fan. While I'm not hating on their previous work (I own most of their albums), they have never released an album that I enjoyed from beginning to en

Midlife Crisis is good so is the horribly titled Jizz-lobber. The cover of Midnight Cowboy is sweet too. I got all the FNM albums on CD, I seriously love that band.
I played "Midlife crisis" to death back in the 90's. I still chuckle when I hear "you're menstruating hard but it ain't bleeding enough for two". How the hell they mana

Much respect to T, he had one of the nicest flows in the 80's. Most of his first lp is absolutely top notch and a couple of joints off his second lp are damn good too. Back to burn is probably my favorite though. I remember reading an article online a few years back on that accident he had and he was living in a nursing home with mostly old people but still rapping to them. He seems to have

Funny mix, I like it. No obvious ones on there, good job. Thought I'd be able to get more though. A couple sounded familiar but couldn't place them. Only got the easy ones.
Just 4 - Game of life
Jazzy Jeff - King Heroin

^^Yeah, that Just 4 is class, need to get myself a copy soon too.
Today I'm listening to the somewhat slept on self titled album by Ahmad from 1994. The production and his flow are both better that I remember. Just wish the annoying usage of the word "n***ero" was cut from most of the songs.

They were once my favorite group but grew really tired of them so I sold all their albums I had. From memory it would probably be:
Egg raid on mojo (the first version)
Rhymin & stealin
(Never cared for anything on Paul's Boutique, sue me!)
Pass the mic
Sure shot

Found nothing too fancy in the hip hop category while digging over the weekend but I did pick up:
MC Shy D - Got to be tough (better than I rememeber but worse than I had hoped for)
