Thanks guys, I have been spending a lil too much lately but sooner or later I had to catch up w/ my modern Hip Hop. Out of all the newer stuff I've gotten lately if I had to choose only 2 it'd be the Alchemist joint and the Planet Asia one.

I always thought Planet Asia was ok, but I never thought too much of them till I heard that, pure fire.dropped the bomb

Recently copped...

Lords of the Underground - Chief Rocka 12" (Pendulum Records) 1993

^One of the 2 12" singles by this crew that I had to have. Dope remixes on this, I had to bite on this under priced single.

Strictly Roots - Strictly Roots LP (?) (?)

^Man this is some dope underground random rap from I donno when. Not on discogs? Anyways, the whole album is really tight underground. I have a 12" single by them that is dope so I took a chance on this, thankfully the whole LP turned out to be good. Cop it if you see it.

I've had that album for a while....I remember when it came out - 1994 (if i remember correctly)...they was down with KRS - who I believe did some production on the album.

My favorite joints off that is, 'Bust the Tech', 'Begs No Friends' (the lead single off the album...which had a remix that NYC radio and mixtape DJ's would play, rather than the album version), 'Mic Controla'.

peace.

^^correction, to my post....KRS produced alot of Broadway's solo album...not when he was with Strcikly Roots. 'Beg's no Friends' (radio version) that I remember, form Hot 97 and various mixtapes, that actually came on cassette (from that timeframe) which is different from the album version...featuring Fat Joe and Grand Puba Maxwell

...and then, Broadway (from Strickly Roots), - feat/produced by KRS....from his solo album back in '95

...then another Broadway, solo joint...from 1997

peace.
