Chill Rob G - Court is in Session 12" (Wild Pitch) 1989

^Looks like I inadvertently got another one of Jazzy Joyce's records. Cool. thumbs up This is the second one I have with that signature on it so I'm guessing she sold some of her records to Dusty Groove because that's where I got both of these. Needless to say, she has great taste in music and takes good care of her records because as you probably already know this song is a monster from 1989 and finally I got it on 12".

The D.O.C - No One Can Do It Better LP (Ruthless) 1989

^Another 1989 must have, this album is so solid all the way through. Dre really dropped some choice beats on this.

Paul C - Welcome to Dopeland Instrumental EP (Good Fellons) 2013

^Kev E Kev forgot to include this in an earlier shipment and he made up for it and then some by signing this EP. This is the instrumental counterpart to the Kev E Kev - Welcome to Dopeland EP and the beats are sooo top notch that it was on my must have list. I don't usually get overly excited by colored vinyl but this is a cool looking record. It's got a Kev acapella on it too as a bonus for the producers out there.

Cypress Hill - Latin Lingo 12" (Ruffhouse Records) 1992

^I guess I didn't need that after all. It's ok, but I bought it for the Prince Paul remix which is not as good as the original. I thought the remix was ok, but then the OG version came on right afterwards and it basically put the remix to shame. My philosophy is if you can't remix a track that sounds better than the original, leave it alone. He tried, but you can't blame him since Muggs was so on point with the OG.

F.B.I. (Forever Being Ill) - Untouchable EP (Kilo Records, Inc.) 1989

^I like random rap and I like Chicago rap so I took a chance on "Forever Being Ill" LOL. Yeah, well it sucks pretty bad. At least they have the common courtesy to thank the people they illegally sampled, you don't see that on a lot of rap records LOL. They boldly sampled Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" which came out the same year and probably felt guilty so they made a special section to thank her and Anita Baker and the other samples they used. Nowadays, rappers thank people they sampled with their wallets but I rarely see a "Thanks for letting me snag your beats" acknowledgement.

Binary Star - New Hip Hop 12" (Terrorist Records) 1999

^Binary Star AKA One Be Low is one of my favorite semi-slept-on "backpacker\indie" rappers so I had to cop this 12". I still need that album, but this'll do for now. I also have his "Masters of the Universe 12" which is a lot better than this, but the beat on this 12"s track "Da Fast Food Joint" is an undeniably cool beat.

Def Jef - Soul Food LP (Delicious Wax) 1991

^I think it was GMM that mentioned this was a great album if I'm not mistaken, and I finally found it at a nice price still sealed. I was worried as it had kind of a boring into to it but progressively this album got better and better with each track. If it was you G, good recommendation, it's definitely a quality conscious-style album.

I'm still down south ...I'm giving Jeezy's "The Recession" a third listen..he got a lot of flack for this record because everyone wants him to keep making some variation of THug Motivation 101 or relive his trap or die joints ,but this was a very different Jeezy very introspective and dare I say, political?
