Copped this 7" a few days ago ..

Rasheed Chappell - Break Loose / What I'm Here For . The a-side ( Break Loose ) has a dope back in the day breakbeat sound . RC rides the beat nice with a dope flow to match . The b-side ( What I'm Here For ) has more of a 90s style production with more nice lyricism . DJ Scratch on the cuts on both tracks . Definitely a great buy !!!

The Cenobites - The Cenobites LP (Fondel 'Em) 1997 RE of 1995 OG

^One of my favorite Kool Keith side projects with Godfather Don, featuring Bobbito on a few cuts and Percy P on one. This reissue dropped only 2 years after the OG and it has 2 extra songs. I'm sure that settled well with the fans that bought it back in 95. Definitely worth it for the two extra tracks, the remix of "Kick a Dope Verse" is... wait for it... dope.

Masta Ace - Sitting On Chrome LP (Delicious Vinyl) 1995

^Speaking of 95, this album is also dope. Man, some of Masta Ace's early albums were just pure heat. His later albums ain't bad either but this one and the one prior were just ridiculously hot albums. Every single song a banger.

Camp Lo - Uptown Saturday Night LP (Profile) 1997

^Finally copped this on vinyl. It got reissued recently but I found this nice OG sealed at a nice price so I jumped on it. Shoulda had this years ago, what can I say, but definitely better late than never. It's great, but I thought it started out kinda slow. Then Trugoy The Dove from De La started spitting and it went into high gear from there. Butterfly (Ish) graces the B side and it's almost like a lost Digable Planets track in vibes. It keeps on building from there, seriously good shit.

Group Home - Livin' Proof LP (Payday) 1995

^This is one of those highly sought albums, often overpriced and wanted by all Hip Hop heads and it is hard to obtain for any reasonable amount of money. I tried copping this online 4-5 times every time I jumped on a copy and got the "Sold Out" email shortly afterwards. Finally, after years of trying and being to slow on the trigger I get a copy from Metrowax, a local seller and friend, and I bust it out to play it and (fizzle) "Oh, look doubles of the first disc!" really angry

Clearly this was from his collection purchased from a DJ because many of these staple Hip Hop albums were doubles with the opposite wrong disc in each sleeve. I guess it wasn't wrong for him when he was juggling doubles of this album but I find it a bit wrong that I gotta wait till the other LP shows up to get the full album. It will show up as Wade digs through 100s of boxes, it always does, but I repeat "hundreds" of boxes. Talk about being in limbo, who knows how long it will take me to actually own this album. Right now it's kind of a tease, cuz the first disc is so dope, but I guess I gotta just deal with it even though my collecting chemical imbalance is not happy with a disc being out of place. What can I say? I want my cake, damnit!

Nonphixion - Black Helicopters / They Got ... 12" . This is a dope single if you're into Nonphixion . These dudes raps are tight , but all over the place too . You get everything from gun bars , to drug bars , government conspiracy bars, etc .. Plus great production on both tracks .

Digable Planets - Dial 7 ( Axioms Of Creamy Spies ) / 3am Bonus Beats / Graffiti (Noise) / Dedicated test press 12" . Two dope cuts from the Blowout Comb album ( Dial 7 and Axioms ) Dedicated was a 12" joint that did appear on their best of album and 3am Bonus beats is a nice instrumental 12" only track . All are great . I can't get enough of the Planets every since I first saw the Rebirth Of Slick video many many moons ago .something about their laid back jazzy vibe that always spoke to me on
Redman - Tonight's Da Night / I'm A Bad / Rated "R" 12" . Three nice tracks off the Whut The Album joint . You can't beat Reggie Nobel in his prime . Although I haven't really gotten I to any of his stuff over the last 10 years , his solo career and other earlier projects ( Def Squad , Red & Meth , etc... ) all go down as classic to me . I always appreciated the way he could make a dope , but almost always give it a comedic spin .

Ice Cube - Amerikkka's Most Wanted / Once Upon A Time In The Projects 12" . I already have the edited test press , but had to jump on this explicit version !! Ice Cube is another artist who couldn't be touched during his early career . Two dope tracks on this one .
