Awesome Dre and the Hardcore Committee - You Can't Hold Me Back lp . I was very excited to cop this sealed OG pressing for $5.00 !!! From 1989 , and born out of the hardcore / gangsta era . I heard this in a dj set by Peanut Butter Wolf once , and wanted it every since . There was a time when it woulda costed a pretty penny to cop this . I guess not so much anymore ( although it's still selling for $85 on eBay ). My only complaint is the thin vinyl it was pressed on ..

DAS EFX - Hold It Down 2lp . Even though Das was kinda Gimmicky when they first hit the scene with the bigity stigity style , I have always been a fan . I am sad ( also a little happy ) to say that this is my first record I own by them .but , call me crazy , but this was always one of my favorite too . There is still a hint of the dignity on this album , but not a lot . Nice production and ill rhymes . A classic in my book ....

^DAS EFX is one of those crews that I loved since I was in High School and I never thought of their "iggity" as gimmicky, I thought of that as their thing. Maybe they weren't even the first to do that, I don't know, but they were the best at it, they owned that. When the Fuschnickens did it I thought they were riding coat-tails frankly.

That's a great album BTW, I still gotta get that album. IMO the first 3 DAS albums are worth owning, after that, not so much.

I hated the second Das LP..first is easily better.
I bet I only played it once and it's still in shrink.
