Rob Zombie - Mondo Sex Head LP (Geffen) 2012



^I'm not a huge Rob Zombie fan although I always loved White Zombie, and it's been a while since I heard any Zombie remixes so I had to cop this. Not to mention the sticker on the cover said Jack Dangers was a credited remixer, and either that's not true or for whatever reason he doesn't get liner credits. Regardless this is almost as good as his Supersexyswinging sounds he dropped years ago and I needed some of that heavy techno metal in my rock collection. Best remix on this by far is the Photek remix, really dope beat on that Living Dead Girl track.



Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill LP (Eastwest) 1996



^Lately I've been on a dark heavy kick. (I'm going to my dark place!)

Seriously, this is so crazy dope. I can't believe how amazing this sounds after all these years. Some of the tracks are so fiercely heavy and some are just dark slow pieces, either way this band was on the top of the their game when this dropped back in 1996. Pantera was one of the best bands I have ever seen live and I was lucky enough to catch them at Ozzfest in it's early years. I saw them 4 or 5 times after that and they dominated all the other bands at each event. People went buck wild crazy for Pantera, I'll never forget those shows. Anywayz, this is their slept on album, I shoulda had it on wax long ago but they finally repressed it so I had no excuses after that. Pantera fans should buy this 2LP, it's absolutely fantastic.

^This is one of those, "if their name is on it, I gotta get it" bands. (CSC Funk Band) Super cheap, super cool (included the funky adapter) super slow chugging funk. File under: Laid back funk.

Led Zeppelin - The Complete Studio Recordings 10 CD Box (Atlantic) 1993



^I'm making my own little best of after relistening to each album from the first to the last. I'm on Houses of the Holy right now. Each album is so classic it ain't even funny. No wonder they are receiving Kennedy Center Honors. True virtuosos of rock and roll.
