I was thinking today that if I had to come up with a genre that everybody I know has in their collection , it would be soul music . I rarely go a day without listening to at least a few soul tracks . I love soul music and want to celebrate it . So if you're listening to some great soul music , or if something just comes to mind , post it !! I have to admit that there is an ulterior motive at play here too. Since I am not a soul music scholar , I'm hoping to be introduced to new tracks artists etc.. I'm hoping to see classic , modern , and even other genres with a heavy soul influence.

I love soul music - particularly 60s and 70s soul, but I would hardly consider myself any type of expert on it. I buy the stuff when I can, a bunch in the last year or two on vinyl. I'll try to post some later when I get my records and turntable set up after a cross-country move.

^^ great track LionsMouth !!! That's right up my alley . I have a hard time deciding my favorite soul tracks , but off the top of my head , I think this 1969 joint is definitely one of my favorite 60s tracks.

^Very groovy mod instrumental soul. So many feel good moments, no words, just vibes.
