Lots of punk-related stuff has been posted here in the past so I though I would make a dedicated thread. Keeping it broad again because "punk" is a pretty wide umbrella. Feel free to post anything from the Ramones to Discharge to contemporary groups and all points in between. 60s Garage Rock and modern groups inspired by such should probably find a home here as well.

Going to try to dig up some unique stuff for this thread later to help get it going.

Valvontakomissio - Systeemi Tappaa CD (Finn Records 1996)

Heavy Scandanavia d-beat hardcore from the 90s that pretty much trounces nearly everything else in this style. I don't know what it is about this album, but it just hits all the right points, even beatings bands like DooM at their own game IMHO. This was released by a small label out of Sweden that is no longer, so all the label's releases are now OOP. Stuff like this is crying out for a nice reissue on wax, as it was never issued on vinyl at all AFAIK.

Incudine - Holy Parasite & Survive to Myself Mini-Albums

Came across these guys the other day. The band is made up of Italian punk/hc scene veterans going back to groups from the 80s like Crash Box, which I posted about before. Here they are doing tight, tough sounding hardcore that sounds like their take on the early Cro-Mags sound. Both mini albums are on Bandcamp as free downloads.

Nightmare - Scatteraw LP

2006 album from this long running Japanese hardcore band dating back to the 80s. Like some other bands from this part of the world, they just don't release material that often. I guess it's more of a quality over quantity approach. I've had this album awhile but don't put it on very often. I really should play it more because it's really good. The production/mix is one of the strangest I've heard for pretty much any hardcore band, which can be good or bad depending on your point of view. The bass and vocals are up front, with a very trebly guitar sound further back in the mix. The drums could be a bit better recorded, but it's nothing that will interfere with enjoying. If you've never heard this band before, I'd suggest trying their first LP before getting this one. That may be a bit of a chore to find these days and involve spending some $$$. My copy of that album in on CD only. I'd say it's way overdue for a vinyl reissue.

Note: Sound quality on the video isn't great, but will give you an idea of what the group sounds like.
