One of the best and most unique punk records of the 80s IMHO. These guys blended melody, energy, and doomy darkness like few other bands at the time or any era really. Rikk Agnew from the Adolescents and Christian Death on guitar also...

G.I.S.M. - Determination CD



Legendary, somewhat infamous Japanese hardcore band. A lot of people probably know the band from the P.E.A.C.E. comp, which featured hardcore and punk bands from all over the world.

Despite the differences in the title, this CD (Japan-only BTW) is a reissue of the 1983 Detestation LP. This album has been bootlegged on CD and vinyl countless times, so it's nice to finally have a somewhat accessible official version. Reportedly the initial run sold out very quickly and it had to be repressed. Not sure how much longer this will be around as these types of things tend to disappear quickly. If you are on the fence, I'd get one pronto.
