The Mighty Lemon Drops - Happy Head LP

These guys were/are often tagged as a Bunnymen ripoff group, and there is some basis to that (look at the cover for their next LP). On here, they don't come off so much as a ripoff as a group highly influenced by Liverpool neo-psychedelic guitar pop, but still doing their own thing. There is a more straightforward feel here, and the songs focus more on 60s pop songcraft rather than all-out atmosphere. Not a bad thing at all, and they've got some catchy songs. Later on they would become much more polished. This is a very enjoyable album, but not necessarily mindblowing per se.
My copy is a UK pressing on Chrysalis.

Also worth noting is that the band appeared on the infamous NME C86 cassette compilation.

XTC - White Music LP

XTC's first LP, very quirky new wave here, lots of high energy. Something I have to be in the mood for, definitely. A good album to put on when you need to wake up a little bit.

Check this out LM, I think you will appreciate this.

I got all the Japanese Paper Sleeve Mini LP CDs with bonus non album tracks a few years ago.

Some of the albums I like a lot more than others, but for the most part this band has a pretty distinct style of their own.

Very cool. I have some mini-lp CDs but not very many. What do you like of Oranges and Lemons? I've been meaning to give that one a shot at some point...

^It's been such a long time since I listened to that album, I'd have to check it out again before saying with confidence.

Gene Loves Jezebel - Discover LP

This band has grown on me over time and I'm glad I gave them another shot awhile back. They are an acquired taste for sure (mainly due to the pitch wavering vocals), but put out some pretty good 80s goth rock that has held up quite well over time. This is their third LP, and I'd put it about on par with the second one, Immigrant. A good record but neither this nor the previous one is quite as great as the first LP, Promise. Check that one out if you want to give this group a shot. My copy is an 80s pressing on Geffen.
