Haha, I'd like it to be mysterious, but this is a bootleg that I bought maybe 2 or 3 years ago from ebay I think

Found what you are talking about.

Discogs
Audio sourced from a very well-kept original tape and carefully cleaned/restored, not made from mp3. Comes with screen-printed front and back cover, stamped labels, and a xerox of the original j-card that came with the cassette.

Only thing available now is this colored variant starting at $181.65. worried I'm guessing you got a much better deal for a better pressing.

I'd gladly settle on that boot you have or the OG tape, cuz your boot sounds good and how friggen cool would that tape be?thumbs up

I've ended up with a few weird boots in my collection like that, usually by mistake when I order from some punk type distro. I've gotten a lot more careful over the last year or so though. Sometimes these types of boots can be decent, other times they sound horrible and are just sourced from mp3s off a blog or something. It can be hard to know what you might be getting unless you are willing to gamble your $ because there are usually no reliable reviews of stuff like that and it tends to get sold out somewhat quickly.

Yeah, the bootleg sounds pretty good. You can tell it was from a tape. Just add a little HF on my mixer and its golden.

Here is one of my favorites. Not from the 80's but man this is my jam.
