Of course I take all the "evil" and "satanic" imagery with a grain of salt. You've got to have a sense of humor to enjoy this king of thing IMHO.

Spoken like a true Satanist. praying

Temple Nightside - The Hecatomb

I'm very picky when it comes to death metal and it is difficult for me to get into newer bands. Most of the newer stuff I hear is either too slick and clicky, sounds like re-hash, or lacks personality. This band has impressed me though. My only complaint is that the mastering is more compressed than I'd prefer.

The label that put this out is based out of Germany, but my guess is that Hell's Headbanger's or some similar heavy metal distro is stocking it stateside. I bought the FLAC download through Bandcamp because I'm not buying records right now.

^Sweet.

Kind of reminds me of the same artwork that was on the Masters of Reality debut album.

Angel Witch - Self Titled LP

Old school heavy metal circa 1980, originally part of the "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" (NWOBHM) movement. This album has been in and out of print over the years and just got reissued by the American label Real Gone Music. I haven't had time to listen to my copy more than once but the sound quality and pressing seem acceptable. If you like this type of music, this album is catchy as hell and has aged a lot better than some of its contemporaries. This particular edition (on gimmicky "fire" red/orange/yellow swirl vinyl) is supposed to be limited to 1000 copies. I'm not sure if RGM or another label plans on doing a black pressing down the line, but the last time this was reissued was in 1998, so you might want to grab it soon if interested.
