Obituary - The End Complete
original release by R/C Records (Roadrunner), 1992 this pressing by Metal Blade Records, 2014

Nice pick. I like Obituary but only have the Cause of Death album. I need to get their first and this one. Even the non-remastered CD pressings of these are hard to find these days at good prices.

Aura Noir - Out To Die
Inferna Profundus Records, 2013

Killer black/thrash from Norway. These dudes have been at it for almost 25 years, so this isn't amateur hour here. There's a lot of influences from the late 80s swirling around in their sound, tempered by the famously filthy Norse production you would expect from a band like Darkthrone.

There are a good number of versions of this album to be found on different labels. This particular cassette release was put out by the Lithuanian label Inferna Profundus about a year after its initial release on LP and CD.

That sounds pretty good. I've been meaning to check out this band for a while, actually. I see that they are coming to the U.S. soon. No dates near me unfortunately.

I need to check that out and see if they're playing anyplace I can get to. I would love to see them live.

Panopticon - Kentucky
original release by Handmade Birds/Pagan Flames, 2012 - this pressing by Nordvis Produktion/Bindrune Recordings, 2017

The new repress of a classic USBM album from Panopticon. This sounds astonishingly rich and full for black metal, with a decent dynamic range and a crisp sound. Anyone in the market for a reasonably priced physical copy should check this one out. Pressed on two LPs housed in a thick gatefold sleeve with some great artwork.
