Torch Runner - Endless Nothing
Southern Lord, 2014

Grinding metallic hardcore. This could just as easily fit in the hardcore/punk thread. Southern Lord has a decent lineup of bands like this these days. Good stuff for those days when the world seems to be pulling you in a million directions at once and all you want to do is give it a hard kick in the teeth.

Not familiar but the first couple tracks sound pretty intense. Reminds me of something from the 90s I can't put my finger on but this is more metallic and distorted sounding. I should pay more attention to the new stuff SL is putting out.

Gillan - Future Shock
original release by Virgin, 1981 - this CD by Demon Music Group, 2015

One of my favorite albums from one of my favorite vocalists in the history of hard rock. Every single track is just killer. Throw this one on in the car, crank it all the way up and put the accelerator to the floor.

You know, I really like the Gillan era of Deep Purple but I've never checked out any of his other projects. Would you say this is the best Gillan album? That track sounded great.

Future Shock is my personal favorite of his solo albums. Mr. Universe and Glory Road are both albums that you would probably dig if you like that track up above. There's some good solid songs on both of those.
