Karl Sanders - Saurian Meditation
Relapse Records, 2004

Not metal by any means, but still incredibly heavy, this album is Nile frontman Karl Sanders making a sort of ambient music based on Sumerian and Egyptian mythology. A cool concept that turned out even better in execution.

Shroud Eater - Strike The Sun

Not familiar with the band or label but I guess I should be paying more attention to both of them. Going to have to bookmark some stuff to check out.

Sounds interesting. I never got into Nile really so I didn't know his solo stuff was anything like this. I'm going to have to bookmark this one too.

Sorcier Des Glaces - Self-Titled [2018]

Atmospheric black metal from Canada with a strong influence from the Scandinavian second wave. I've heard some earlier work by this project and liked it but this is the first time I've heard them doing anything this high level. The entire album is one long track, done in different sections (though not track indexed) but with a some common music themes running through through it. If you have the patience for fifty minutes of this kind of music, check this out, it's well worth it. So far the album has been released on CD and cassette only. Not sure if vinyl is forthcoming or how they would break up the flow to make it work.
