I love RevCo and all those other great projects Al Jougensen was involved with back in the 90s. They always had the best cover songs, and the track "Gila Copter" that was on Linger Ficken' Good with this song was just excellent. Something about Timothy Leary being on the same record with these guys just seemed completely appropriate.

Absolutely, totally agree with that. I liked a lot of the related Industrial groups from that time. Like Pigface for example.

Haven't heard that RevCo track in forever. Used to hear it on college radio in the 90s a lot. I like that they took a really bad Rod song and made it kind of amusing.

Sayer - Cosmic Voyagers



A recent Bandcamp discovery. This is neo-Berlin School sequencer music that's heavy on the beats. This sort of thing can be difficult to do right but I think he pulled it off here. Really good album all the way through.

The YouTube clip I'm posting is a fan upload that barely gives you a taste of how good the album is.

Mammal Dap - Deep Field
not on label - self released, 2017



The brand new album from this instrumental band out of Massachusetts. Spacey synths, crisp guitars, and funky beats are the order of the day here. Cosmic and danceable at the same time.

I thought these guys showed a ton of promise on their 2015 self-titled LP, but this is far beyond what I was expecting. I don't normally get into dance music, but I make exceptions for shit that's this good. The videos below are too compressed to do justice to the rich, full sound on this CD. I'll leave a link to their Bandcamp site if you're inclined to give them a look.
