Not for everyone but TiRon&Ayomari are true as shit and funny as hell. I've enjoyed their releases.

Last night...

Boog Brown / Apollo Brown ‎– Brown Study LP (Mello Music Group)

^Took a chance on this unknown (to me) female MC based on my appreciation of Apollo Brown's recent productions, and I gotta say Apollo Brown didn't let me down at all. He dished her up some really dope beats. Honestly, Boog's voice isn't all that memorable, kind of a cross between Bahamadia and Jean Grae to my ears. Kinda plain jane sounding frankly, it's easy to space her out and focus on the beats. I usually like it when rappers stand out on top of the beats instead of blending into them like this does. Her lyrics are where it's at, smart, witty and poetic, that's what she's best at. I'd buy this again, but I'm not in love with it since her voice didn't stand out that much or make much of an impression on first listen.

^Spacy Hip Hop beats, really rich sound, I'm feeling this. Rhymes by Doom, Talib, Big Pooh, Roc Marciano, Guilty Simpson, etc. Strong album, I can't wait to give it a proper listen later tonight.
